A rare first edition, with paperback covers, of the fourth book written by one of the most remarkable 20th century Portuguese authors: O Outro Livro de Job is the first poetry collection by Adolfo Rocha published under his pseudonym of Miguel Torga. This becomes a meeting point between religion and mysticism in a contemporary reinterpretation of the biblical text of Job in which Torga's scientific training enters into dialogue with his spirituality. Published by the centenary Coimbra Editora, the regime publishing house that hid Miguel Torga's books from the PIDE secret police between 1945 and 1969 despite its otherwise generalised repression of all forms of opposition to the Estado Novo political regime.
