ENA fantastic book of humorous sketches about the First World War, written by the great William Heath Robinson. During the conflict, he drew and published numerous cartoons, representing improbable secret weapons (as the title translates) used in combat, all presented in this first edition. Such is the complexity attributed to his drawings that, from the 1910s onwards, it merited an dictionary entry: "Heath Robinson: used to describe a machine that is very cleverly made and is complicated in a silly or humorous way [...]". However, Hunlikely's quality swiftly emerges and it is not improbable his readers let out a few laughs at the bizarreness of the Heath Robinson imagined machines.
