Livraria Lello welcomes Francisco Seixas da Costa to present the book "Antes Que Me Esqueça"

Francisco Seixas
Ambassador Francisco Seixas da Costa will be at Livraria Lello, on December 9th, at 9 pm, in a session where he will present his new memoir Antes Que Me Esqueça. In conversation with the author will be Augusto Santos Silva, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal.

Throughout his career, Francisco Seixas da Costa represented Portugal at the embassies of Oslo, Luanda, London and Paris, and at the United Nations, OSCE and UNESCO. He was also Secretary of State for European Affairs in the government of António Guterres. After leaving public service, he was a columnist at Jornal de Negócios and a guest professor at the Department of International Relations at the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa.
It was in all the experiences throughout his life that he was inspired to do a “human reading”, as he himself describes, in Antes Que Me Esqueça: “Here we only welcome texts that I inserted, between 2009 and 2022, into my blog Duas ou Três Escolhas, in which I recorded facts, episodes and portraits taken from my experiences, which I understood could offer some reading interest. They are the product of loose writing, with the rapid rhythm of the keys, in the style of the unpretentious language that is common on immediate communication platforms.”
He is currently a commentator on international affairs on the Jornal Económico podcast “The Art of War”, establishing himself as a relevant and experienced voice when it comes to international politics.

The session is free to attend, subject to prior Registration and with capacity limited to the Bookstore's capacity. It will also be possible to watch the event via livestreaming, on Livraria Lello's Facebook and Instagram pages.
