Children's version of "The Jungle Book" receives international illustration award
Book published by Livraria Lello with illustrations by Evelina Oliveira distinguished in the iJungle Awards 2021.
Evelina Oliveira's illustrations in The Jungle Book, published by Livraria Lello last November, were distinguished in the illustration category of the annual iJungle Awards 2021.
In this book, produced for a child-youth audience, the illustrator combines several techniques to give texture to Mogli's universe and the diversity of Nature. A work that conquered the jury of the annual illustration competition iJungle Awards. The originality and beauty of the work will, therefore, be highlighted in the iJungle 2021 Illustrational Annual, a publication where the best works produced worldwide during 2020, will be featured.

The work is part of the children's collection The Little Collection, which includes classics from universal literature: Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Tom Sawyer, The Jungle Book, and The Wizard of Oz. The texts of the five books were adapted by the renowned children's author Adélia Carvalho and the unique illustrations are signed by Cátia Vidinhas, Evelina Oliveira, Gonçalo Viana, Sandra Sofia Santos, and Sérgio Condeço.
The iJungle Awards is one of the most prestigious competitions in the industry. The awards are given by a jury composed of art directors and illustrators from all over the world, who select the best illustrations every year, in different categories, from advertising to comics, and, of course, books.
