“O Fado da Severa” is the fourth historical romance written by Maria João Lopo de Carvalho, that counts with more than seventy edited titles, with romances, chronic books, school books and young adult fiction.

In this historical romance, two world cross when the night falls. The one of the sailors, tough man, street women and the nice sons of the city, that together dive in a sordid and passionate world where fado is sung. And nobody sings it better than Severa, gipsy's daughter and prostitute.

This is the story of Severa and the Count of Vimioso, and it is this forbidden love that Maria João Lopo de Carvalho so well creates, in a fierce and truthful Lisbon.

A story where the light and the shadows of Lisbon are always present, as well as the indomitable spirit of Severa: the gipsy woman that created fado, the woman that sold her body but never her soul.

The entrance for this event is free.
